Anís Seco La Estrella – 6 × 0.7 L

Anise liqueur in the dry style: unlike the sweet “dulce”, the “seco” is made without any appreciable added sugar. That leaves the anise exposed at the front — in Spain it is the more widely drunk of the two.

In the glass

Clear, forceful anise with a note of fennel. Dry, and noticeably sharper than the sweet version.

Serving

Ice-cold and neat after a meal. With water it turns milky — that is expected, not a fault.
