Cachaça 51 – 0.7 L

Cachaça is a spirit category of its own, not a rum: it is distilled from freshly pressed sugarcane juice, whereas rum usually comes from molasses. You can taste it — cachaça stays grassier and rawer.

In the glass

Fresh cane juice with a herbal, almost green note. Angular and dry, with none of the sweetness of cask ageing.

Serving

The caipirinha as originally mixed: lime, brown sugar, plenty of crushed ice. In Brazil it is rarely drunk neat.
