Tia Maria Coffee Liqueur – 0.7 L

Coffee liqueur on a rum base, darker and noticeably less sweet than most. The recipe comes from Jamaica: cold-extracted coffee gives it the roast note, vanilla rounds it off.

In the glass

Espresso and vanilla, with a gentle rum warmth behind them. The sweetness stays in the background and the finish is remarkably dry for a liqueur.

Serving

Neat over ice after dinner. Behind the bar, the base for an Espresso Martini or a Black Russian — and a good pour over vanilla ice cream.
