Mar de Frades Albariño Atlántico Rías Baixas – 1.5 L Magnum
Atlantic Albariño in the iconic blue Magnum
Mar de Frades Albariño Atlántico comes from the Denominación de Origen Rías Baixas in Galicia, one of Spain’s most distinctive white-wine regions. The 1.5 L Magnum format — bottled in Mar de Frades’ signature deep-blue bottle with an embossed wave motif — keeps the wine in excellent condition and makes a strong impression at the table.
Taste Profile
Bright straw-yellow with green highlights. The nose opens with citrus fruit, ripe peach and white blossom, followed by a subtle saline, mineral note that reflects the region’s proximity to the Atlantic. On the palate the wine is fresh and well-structured, with lively acidity and a clean, lingering finish.

Origin & Production
Rías Baixas lies in Galicia in the far north-west of Spain, where the Atlantic Ocean shapes both climate and soil. Albariño is the native grape of the region, grown on granite-based soils that impart a characteristic mineral quality. Mar de Frades sources fruit from vineyards close to the Ría de Arousa estuary and vinifies for freshness, preserving the variety’s natural acidity and aromatic clarity.
Perfect For
- Seafood — oysters, mussels, clams, prawns
- Grilled or baked white fish
- Light starters and vegetable-based dishes
- Dinner parties where the Magnum format serves a full table
- Finca deliveries: the large format reduces the number of bottles needed for a gathering
Serving Suggestions
Serve at 8–10 °C in a medium white-wine glass. The Magnum format is best decanted or poured promptly once opened; reseal with a wine stopper and refrigerate if not finished in one sitting.
Storage
Store horizontally at 10–14 °C, away from direct light and vibration. Drink within two to three years of harvest for peak freshness; the Magnum format ages slightly more slowly than a standard 0.75 L bottle.
