Brandy Carlos I Imperial X.O. – 0.7 L

Brandy de Jerez from the same bodega as the Solera Gran Reserva, but drawn from markedly longer-aged soleras. The casks previously held oloroso and Pedro Ximénez — the difference between the two sherry types is recognisable in the glass.

In the glass

Dark dried fruit, walnut and bitter chocolate, with vanilla and old oak above them. Very long, dry finish.

Serving

Neat in a snifter, warmed by the hand. After a meal, without ice and without additions.
